Become a volunteer

Volunteers have anchored so much of what we do at 3 Balloons, especially during the year-long buildout of our store interior, our workshop, and our bookstore.

Today, our volunteer needs are changing. Our staffers are now fully trained. They produce art and crafts with minimal assistance. 

Staffers also maintain our facility, keeping it clean. Staffers assist as we constantly organize an inflow of donated material.

And staffers work on their own as clerks and display artists in our bookstore.

Now, we have different kinds of volunteers.

Today, we welcome volunteers who come into our store as project managers. These are people who come to us with an art or craft idea, and are then able take over our workshop tables and lead our staffers in the project's process.

Project managers usually bring any specialty tools and equipment that we don't already have in house. We help provide the material. That way the project is fully equipped from the start.

Project volunteers have been the source of some of the most popular items in our showroom.

Our other volunteers work outside our store. They cut and trim our supply of donated wood pieces. They show up with a truck when we need one, which is often. Many are simply "on call" when a need arises.

And we can't leave out the wonderful musicians who come into our store and play.
